The human neurological network is extraordinarily complex, controlled by the brain and responsible for keeping our bodies hormonally balanced. External factors such as lifestyle, stress, lack of sleep – disrupt this balance. This can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression and increased levels of stress. Traditional Yoga practices work on the whole system, including our hormonal & neurological networks to help restore that balance.
It is a shocking – and heartbreaking – statistic that suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged between 15 and 44. For every death by suicide, it is estimated that as many as 30 people attempt to end their own lives. That is approximately 65,300 suicide attempts each year in Australia.
